Enough

With this month’s theme being First, Love Thyself, it only seems fitting to discuss one of the most vital elements needed to effectively love yourself. This factor is CONFIDENCE. I can easily identify with both the “confident” and “not-so-confident” attributes I possess. This has led me to question the following: Can a person truly be confident in all aspects of their life? Why is the concept of confidence sometimes difficult to achieve? What if you don’t believe? Then what?

When I was younger, I never really understood the concept of having confidence. I suppose this was because I never wanted anyone to mistake my confidence for conceit. What I didn’t realize is that I was the one who was mistaken. It’s important to have confidence. I now realize that confidence is not something that people are born with. It’s something that is created, along the way, based on the belief in one’s own self. Confidence literally begins with a proper mindset. If the goals you desire to achieve cannot be visualized, they will NOT manifest. A true visionary has to see what they ultimately want to be. The process may cause your confidence to falter but never WAVER. Relish in the fact that your mishaps will insight maturation. This is a sign that you are on the right path. Your confidence dictates what level of fear you are willing to tackle in regards to your goals. Here’s three reasons why it’s Better to Believe.

  1. Your time will be consumed second guessing your potential.Never think twice about what you bring to the table. Own your gift and execute. Ask Yourself: Do you really have time to waste? How do you deposit profitable perceptions of yourself?
  2. Confidence can sometimes carry you when skill doesn’t. I have seen plenty of people who lacked artistry but created an opportunity based on their optimism about themselves. Ask yourself: What vibe does your confidence level convey? Are you believable?
  3. Acting as if it were, is ok. What you think you will become. Your thoughts are directly linked to your triumphs! Ask yourself: Who do you desire to truly be? What actions can you emulate that are reflective of who you ultimately want to be?

Regardless of what happens while you are on your purpose path, know that YOU ARE ENOUGH. You possess “enough” skill to do whatever you put your mind to. Confidence is a lifestyle and a state of mind. You must have a relentless spirit that will never die or quit.

As Donna Pisani once said, Your time as a caterpillar is up. Your wings are ready. Fly confidently in the direction of your dreams!
