When she joined Purpose In Pumps…

December 1, 2016

What drew her to the network and influenced her decision to become a member…

I liked the idea that this was a group of women who did not separate femininity and power but saw them as equally attainable traits. I also appreciated the focus on “purpose” and the many opportunities within the organization – be it workshops, networking, or support – each of these help women identify and live their purpose.

I was placed here to be a living witness to the love and power of God.

“The only thing I do know is I don’t know.”

The best piece of advice she’s received in life thus far…

When you leave this world, live your life so that you feel that the world doesn’t owe you anything.

Tell last time she was inspired…

When I was told I was being too creative in my classroom, it inspired me to leave the traditional classroom setting for corporate training.

How she defines purpose…

I feel that “purpose” is a spiritually ordained mission.

How she wants to be remembered…

I want to be remembered for helping others.

Her greatest fear…

Living in fear.

The biggest influence in her career…

Ms. Massey, my third grade teacher, taught me to be stern and strong but God-filled in all things.

Her biggest fan, supporter and cheerleader…

My fiancé is awesome as well as my friends.

The Confidence Code – confidence is attainable.

How she defines excellence…

Excellence allows you to carve a new lane and redefine the game.

Three historical figures who she admires and why…

Maya Angelou for her writing and wisdom, Jesus for his sacrifice and Muhammad Ali for his tenacity.

If she could go back and speak to her younger self, she would tell her…

“You are worthy.”

Where we can find her when she’s not working…

Home.

Her biggest hope for women…

That we love ourselves and each other more.

Three items she cannot leave home without…

Purse, Sunglasses, Music

When she’s preparing for her next “big move”, her process is…

Research, read, plan, prepare and execute!

What she loves most about herself…

I love my fearlessness.

How she describes her personality…

I am outgoing and reflective.

Her favorite “power pump” is…

A Michael Kors pump that is so comfy, conservative and sassy!
