Most companies have loosened their dress codes to allow employees the option of casual versus business casual dress. This flexibility can become quite challenging when trying to maintain your professional image. And if you’re like me, adding a bit of “flair” to your wardrobe could cause you to cross the line unintentionally.
Style Tip: If you want to remain professional, while incorporating your personality, choose garments that have the same colors yet varying patterns. The pattern on one of the garments should be larger in comparison to the garment you are pairing it with. For example, if you wear a white blouse with small, black triangles, you can pair it with slacks with large, black and white vertical stripes. This is a casual, fun look but could be viewed as “professional” once paired with bold-colored heels and statement jewelry.
